mood: inspired.
...billy, to date, has been one of the most fun dogs to photograph. he has such a calm and mellow general demeanor that this next set of photos caught me by complete surprise. when i arrived at his home the first day he was laying on the sofa with his chin on the arm rest and a pillow located right behind his head. he gave me a "hey whats goin on" tail thump and that was about it. with his shiny black coat, hound-like ears and soulful eyes, i thought to myself "he looks perfect... thats going to be the shot" [of course my camera was not in hand at that point]. through the duration of my stay and my visits - i didn't see "that" dog again, it was only a matter of time before he greeted me at the door with a huge grin, wiggly butt, slobbery ball, and the goofiness began!!
this last one [sepia] is my favorite. i'm not sure if i want to draw it or paint it or blow it up and frame it [shh, don't tell gia and tilden] but i love it!
and last but definitely not least... another favorite of his feline counterpart, henrietta.
