i have to say [and i hope i'm not speaking too soon] that the rain has actually been quite pleasant these last 2 days. yes my yard is flooded and yes i've been mopping indoors constantly, but the dogs are still having a good time and are not phased by the extra water at all... i've been incredibly lucky with the breaks in the rain and everyone has been going out to potty when asked. i got a little bit of a surprise when i went to visit Bam [a new 2yo golden retriever client] this morning... apparently the storm [there was a little bit of thunder today] scared her pretty bad and from the evidence left behind, she had a pretty stressful time. i called her dad and asked if i could bring her home with me... we will discuss later if daycare is a better option for her, or possibly crating until the weather clears up a bit. i gave her a squirt of rescue remedy, but she didnt seem to need it... she just wanted to be with someone to feel secure.
...til sunday i have Kovu & Nana [neighbors dalmations]. they're a pretty easy duo but Kovu has to sport a cone & boots at the moment because of some obsessive foot licking, so i feel bad for him. he hates the cone!! once all of my clients dogs are picked up - i'm going to take my dogs over and go watch a movie with them.
